Kari Sam Wuhrer, born on 28th April 1968 is an American singer and actress. Wuhrer began her acting career when she was in her teens. Her most well-known role was for her role as Maggie Beckett from the TV show Sliders as well as the role of the character Sheriff Samantha Parker on the horror film Eight Legged Freaks. Her family has given her three brothers. She was a teenage singer performing in clubs, sneaking away from the family in order to do so. Following her studies in acting at the Wooster School, at 13 years old, she studied drama in New York University's Tisch School of the Arts in Marymount Manhattan College and Columbia University. Additionally, she studied in the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts under renowned Uta Hagen. She was born on April 28th, 1967 and was raised in Brookfield, Connecticut. Her mother works as a payroll accountant and her father, German-American, is a policeman and automobile salesperson. Kari is one of the three youngest children. In her teens was a nightclub singer, she would sing as she slipped out to perform. Kari began studying acting when she was 13. Her next stage of study was acting at the Tisch School of the Arts in New York University and Columbia University. Marymount Manhattan College in addition to the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in collaboration along with Uta Hagen who was a famous instructor. Kari was first introduced to acting at 13 years old, and received her first big break in 1987 on MTV Remote Control.
