Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah works as an Indian playback singer, actress and musician. Her work is primarily focused on Tamil or Malayalam-language films. Her debut as an actress was the Tamil film Pachaikili Muthucharam as well as her Malayalam debut with Annayum is in the film. Andrea Jeremiah grew up in the Tamil Nadu region in an Anglo-Indian home. Andrea's dad was a Madras High Court lawyer. Her older sister is currently working and living in Leuven Belgium working as a Research Assistant. Jeremiah is from Chennai. She was a student at National Public School, and after that, she graduated Women's Christian College. Andrea learned to play the piano classically in her 8th year. She was part of The Jackson Five style troupe Young Stars aged 10. The group was the beginning of the foundation for her music and singing career. She was a performer at the college, in a variety of shows that were put on through The Madras Players or EVAM. She was also the Student Senate President at Women's Christian College. Andrea's theatre career began with Girishkarnad's Nagamandala. In 2006, her role in the brand new Leo Coffee advert included Shiva. She was also the actor in a Podhigai's TV serial. She has appeared in all parts of India. She played a brief role at the end of Kanda Mudhal 2005. She sang for Gautham Vasudev's Vettaiyaadu. He asked her to join the female lead characters on Pachaikili Muthucharam. Andrea is Kalyani in this film, that is a re-imagining of James Siegel's novel Derailed. The husband of the character is involved in a relationship with her and she's blackmailed. Andrea was selected to play the role after Simran and Tabu were two actors who were contacted by the producers. The movie was announced in the early part of the year 2010. In 2011 she agreed to perform a small supporting role which was released in early 2010. Venkat Prabhu's multi-starrer Mankatha that was released in August 2011. Annayum Rasoolum was Rajeev's romantic flick from 2013.
